Beyond Artwork
Iβm Alexis Marie
Welcome to my Studio!
I am an expressive portrait artist born and raised in California who blends femininity with healing and inner peace. Art has always been a part of my life. However, it wasnβt until I focused on healing and inner peace that I fell in love with painting.
My work weaves surrealism with expressive feminine imagery with the intention of creating safe spaces that invite calmness, self-harmony, and quiet strength while embracing softness.
Through artwork, my goal is not just to create pieces that are pleasing to the eye, but offer peace and hope even in the heart of chaos.
"A journey that started with healing and ended with love, empowerment, and joy!"

How It All Began:
The Inspiration
Art has been my safe haven for as long as I can remember. A quiet place where emotions and vulnerability can flow beyond words and judgment. Growing up in an unstable environment where I often felt insignificant, painting allowed me to reveal my deepest wishes for inner peace, healing and self-understanding.
My work is inspired by the beautiful paradox of craving strength and softness, resilience and rest, and connection with calm solitude. Each piece reflects a journey of gentle transformation. I believe art heals and grounds us with whispers of our worth while serving as a reminder to not be afraid of the fullness of complex emotions and to remember there is strength in vulnerability.
How My Journey Inspires My Art
Embracing Softness:
While on the healing journey, I prioritized embracing the emotions I once felt ashamed of while noticing the tender relationship between art and healing. It all started with studies of my favorite animals - and grew into feminine and expressive portraits. This was a time for authenticity and reconnecting with my inner child through vulnerability - finding strength in the smallest moments. Soon discovering just as every expressive brushstroke contributes to the fullness of a beautiful painting, I found that resilience is crafted through the experiences that shape us. I began finding joy in lifeβs simplest moments, inspiring my creativity and leading me to fall in love with vibrant colors. Ensuring that each color and texture invites warmth and depth serving as a reminder that, like the abundance of layers to build a painting, growth takes time.
